I agree your calculation does show a significant pressure is required at RPMs > 7000 to simply iniate flow in the proper direction and produce a positive pressure at the rod journal.

As you stated, the failure point of the broken cranks is easily identified as a fatigue failure by the striations or "beach marks" showing along the broken surface. I'll admit that I titled my post "... = broken crank" to get people's attention, but my real interest here is in the potential oil starvation to the rod journals at RPMs greater than 7000, what (if anything) can be done to alleviate it, and whether or not it's even worth worrying about. Your calculation certainly helps define the pressure needed to overcome the centripetal force. I wonder since the force is equal on both sides of the crossdrill, that it's detrimental effect is less than the crossdrilled V8 configuration.
